Things happening in the new chapter
These are some of the things we’ll hopefully be doing
Travel and walking holidays
As much as possible, as soon as possible, all over the world. From long holidays to South America to weekend breaks in Seville, we’re going to try and do it. We are also going to do walking holidays as much as we can
Fishing
Fishing is the prefect hobby. Stress free and fun with plenty of opportunities for a little nap along the way!
Padel
The latest craze I know but its totally addictive and I can’t stop playing
Golf
One final go at this great game. I want to be good. It has all the key attributes that I love like being outdoors and talking a lot. I just need a little ability now
Tennis
I played a lot as a kid. I wasn’t bad. I want to give this one more go to. Got to beat my brother!
Coding
Even if it’s only getting this blog right I want to give this a go. I’m probably crazy having just spent 40 odd years in front of a screen
Here is a taste of what the second half will bring. There will be no VAR!
Walking holidays
- Here is our first walking holiday in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales
- After our Scaffell Pike debacle we invested in some proper gear
- Nothing not to like with this hobby. Quite tiring though!
Other travel
- My Titanic moment on our friend Sam’s family boat off the coat of beautiful Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca
- The next holiday is a family one to the beautiful Greek Island of Zante in September 2026
- In November 2026 it’ll be more walking but this time in Northumberland combined with a city break in Edinburgh
- Then a really exciting trip to India in January 2027
